A spoonable Korean red ginseng paste made with fermented six-year red ginseng concentrate and a blend of traditional Korean botanicals. Four 240g jars in one gift box.
What it is
Red ginseng (hongsam) is Korean ginseng steamed and dried until it turns a deep amber red. This paste combines fermented six-year red ginseng concentrate (8.5%, made from 60% main root and 40% fine root) with a concentrate of traditional Korean botanicals — tangerine peel, kudzu root, bellflower root, cinnamon, angelica root, cornus fruit, rehmannia, and licorice — in a base of dextrin and isomalto-oligosaccharide.
How it's enjoyed
The label suggests about 10g (one spoonful) three times a day. Take it straight from the spoon, or stir it into warm or cold water. Some thickening or clumping from the natural ingredients is normal.
Six-Year Roots
Korean ginseng is traditionally harvested at six years, when the root has grown to its full size. The red ginseng in this paste comes from those six-year roots, fermented before it is concentrated.
