Is it enough? - I haven't had a collagen packet like this. I have had powdered ones but not straight edible from the tube. For having pomegranate and pineapple I'd expect a orangey color or reddish color but this was a striking black syrup. Taste is subjective but to me--- It tastes good, though not actually citrusy imo. I found it reminded me more of molasses than anything. I found it quite good and had me reminiscing about eating molasses from the jar at grandma's house. I had no issues with getting it down but I can see how it might be a bit too much for some. I actually really enjoy this. It is disappointing there isn't as much collagen in it as in the powders. Is that perhaps because they are bovine and this is fish? Not sure but would need to know if it has the same overall absorbed amount before deciding to repurchase at this price. If it is more effective so you need less, then around $1/packet is pretty reasonable. Otherwise, you would need to consume several of these a day to get the level of benefit other alternatives are offering per serving. (The box says 1pakcet per day) That would make this astronomical in price comparison. I like the convenience of individual packets for on the go but, unlike powders in packets, I feel like I might waste some of the goo in the creases by not squeezing every last drop out. On the flip side, I don't need a liquid to put this into (like powders) so it is more versatile. A great alternative but would need more research/clarification before making a final decision.
Easy to take - The packaging of this product is a hard cardboard box. The product is made in Korea. The daily dose is 1 stick of 2000 mg collagen extract. There are 30 pouches in the box at the price of $40. I take this collagen supplement in the form of collagen extract daily for hair and skin benefits. The extract has strong pomegranate taste. Importantly, it does not smell fish. As an added benefit the collagen drink contains hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. The product is easy to take. I add it to a glass of juice or mix with my morning porridge. Honestly, have not seen any changes in my skin, but will continue taking it as I have high hopes.
Pretty interesting - Tough to comment on the efficacy of things like this without really long and sustained usage, so I'll stick to what's tangible. The price seems fair versus competitive products. It basically looks like and has the consistency of soy sauce, but it tastes like a strange combination of fruitiness and fishiness. That probably sounds a little worse than it is. It's not really that apparent if you mix it with something fruity, but I'd also recommend it be something pretty thick, like a juice, or otherwise, it would be pretty apparent and not really mix well. I like that it has some additional vitamin content as well.
Great quality extract! Love the ingredients included in these collagen extract stick. Since this does contain fish collagen, I was worried it would have a fishy flavor, but it doesn't. It has a very interesting taste to it. It is sweet and bitter with a tiny bit of sour mixed in. The liquid is thick like in consistency and is dark purple in color. I like that these come in individual sealed sticks, so it is easy to take on the go with me if traveling. Not too crazy about the taste of this but I do love the quality of this extract and will continue to incorporate this into my daily health regime.
Effective collagen formula but an odd taste - When I first received these packets I wasn't sure how to take them so I contacted the company. I also wanted to know how much hyaluronic acid was contained in each packet. The seller got back to me the same day and informed me that there was 10 mg of hyaluronic acid per packet. They also suggested taking the formula right out of the packet. I tried that and it tasted like fermented prunes. It was too strong of a taste by itself so I mixed it in unsweetened almond milk with a teaspoon of Stevia and it was much more palatable. The next day, however, I put it in my tea and that was a bad idea. It tasted like I put prune juice in my tea, not a great idea.I have been on the combination of collagen and hyaluronic acid for nearly 3 months now and it has been very effective. The wrinkles around my mouth and neck have diminished significantly. I really like the fact that these packets contain marine collagen as I have heard that it is more bioavailable than bovine. I am also impressed that these packets contain 10 mg?�s of hyaluronic acid which is much more than most of the collagen pills and formulas I have tried. I?�m not crazy about the taste but it is certainly palatable.
Skin care from the inside out - These collagen sticks have collagen, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid in a convenient ready-to-use packet. These ingredients are great for your skin, though you would probably want to take them in larger daily doses than what you get here. The taste is mostly pomegranate with a hint of pineapple. It is slightly bitter, yet quite sweet. The more I take it, the more it grows on me. The packets have a perforation for tearing them open, but this seems to usually not open them completely so I use scissors to cut them open.
