What it is
Black ginseng (heuksam) is Korean ginseng steamed and dried nine times until it turns dark. Here the whole root is kept intact and slowly infused with honey — the presentation traditionally reserved for the finest gift.
How it's enjoyed
Slice a little from the root and enjoy it as is, or steep it in hot water for a deep, honeyed cup. Each pack holds one whole root.
